Matt Porter has been a teacher in Victoria for seven years. His most recent class voted him ‘greatest teacher ever’ (after the threat of detention was issued). Matt enjoys writing for children, running, basketball, the mighty Geelong Cats, Mythbusters, playing guitar, the number 36 and being a great dad and husband.

Matt is the author of the extremely funny children’s book, Mr Sergeant and the Dodgeballs of Doom, the first of the Crazy Relief Teacher series (Celapene Press – with more great books en route!). He has published two student activity books titled Racing Around the World Volumes 1 and 2 (Knowledge Books and Software) with his friend Ryan Healy. Matt is also the creator of student activities for the three Erasmus James books and Stinky Squad (all of which can be downloaded on our ‘For Teachers’ page) as well as for other authors.
